We have come to on of the most beautiful, tragic, and intriguing movies I have ever seen.
When two magicians want to be the best in the world at what they do, they become consumed with the idea of each other's tricks and might loose site of what really magic and what's real.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonian 5:18
If I told you that this movies is about two turn of the century magicians... and it's one of the most prestigious movies out there... most people would have a hard time believing me. However, I was basically yelled at to watch this movie when other found out that I have not seen it at the time. They were right.
While I say it's about magic is really about comparison. We become obsessed with other people and how they look, act, dress, and talk that we try to be better than them or make ourselves worse cause we feel like e will never be like them. The thing is, both are bad and neither help you in the long run. In the end they both loose something.. though it's not what or who you might think.
Giving thanks in all circumstances is hard when our emotions start to control us it's hard to regain the the rule. However, it's rewarding when you remember the God is there to help you and He can. Even if it's just or one single moment with God to talk to Him it help more than you can imagine.
